Several events convinced me to dedicate my life to yoga. Yoga helped me resolve grief from anxiety and depression, inspiring me to help others. I discovered a practice that left me feeling grounded, confident and better able to deal with stressors. For me, the greatest gift you can give someone is to show them how to love themselves.

Yoga allowed me to love myself and I knew I had to share this with the world! I believe that we all can create truly fulfilling and successful lives, it begins when we stop making life choices from a place of fear and learn to live in a world of love. Each student lies with a vast wellspring of love and potential and it’s my job as a teacher to draw that out in everyone. When teaching my students, I hope they learn that yoga is aimed at the monumental, life-changing discovery of who and what you truly are.

My message to my students is simple; I encourage getting out of your comfort zone. It is easy to focus purely on what comes easy to us and what we are good at. Things are difficult for a reason and we hold tension in the parts of the body we don’t usually focus on because we shy away from pain. Know what pain is, acknowledge it is here and needs to be here; it is how we move forward. The resistance you feel in important. Let this go when you step on your mat and focus on your least favorite poses they are the keys to the evolution of your soul.
